Theory

At IHS, creativity is part of how students learn. By connecting academics with the arts, we give students different ways to explore challenging concepts, connect lessons to their lives, and demonstrate what they know. This approach makes room for individual strengths and perspectives while encouraging critical thinking, collaboration, and self-expression. It’s a distinctive part of the IHS experience: helping students grow as learners while discovering their voices and building confidence in their ideas.

What Could Learning
Look Like…

At IHS, arts integration connects academic learning with creative expression. Students explore subjects like math, history, and English through visual art, music, theatre, and other art forms. That could mean using design to understand geometry, bringing history to life through a performance, or exploring poetry through songwriting. By building academic and artistic skills together, IHS helps students make meaningful connections, express their ideas, and show what they know in creative and unique ways.
